Innovive is a consistently growing B2B manufacturing company serving the biomedical research industry. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PCB Designer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for updating an existing PCB design, ensuring high fault tolerance and efficient production processes.
Project Scope:
Design Updates
- Enhance fault tolerance to address overvoltage, reverse voltage, and overcurrent protection.
- Assess component lifecycle, lead times, cost, and supplier options.
- Optimize design for low electromagnetic interference (EMI) and effective troubleshooting.
- Reevaluate daughter board connection design.
Documentation
- Create detailed spec sheets and comprehensive manufacturing documentation for the board.
Qualifications & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years in PCB design, preferably in consumer or industrial applications.
- Proven track record of developing products from concept to production.
- Extensive experience working remotely with development and testing teams.
- Proficiency in Cadence OrCAD software, or capability to export designs to OrCAD X.
- Familiarity with programming microcontrollers in C for testing purposes.
- Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive manufacturing and fabrication documentation.
