Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Reliability Engineer to become a key member of their product development team. In this position, you will be instrumental in maintaining and improving the reliability and performance of their products throughout their entire lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include identifying potential failure points, developing effective testing methods, and implementing strategies to boost product reliability. Job responsibilities:
- Reliability and Value Testing: Design and execute testing protocols to evaluate product reliability and value, with a focus on optimizing performance, reducing lifecycle costs, and enhancing durability while minimizing waste.
- Data-Driven Lifecycle Analysis: Interpret data from reliability assessments to improve product durability and cost-efficiency, driving enhancements that increase overall lifecycle value.
- Integrated Risk and Value Evaluation: Perform risk assessments that combine value engineering and reliability principles, ensuring safety and minimizing lifecycle costs.
- Root Cause Evaluation: Analyze product failures with a focus on reliability and lifecycle impact, using value engineering to propose solutions that increase product longevity and reduce expenses.
- Ongoing Improvement: Develop and implement strategies aimed at improving reliability, extending product lifespan, and reducing costs by eliminating inefficiencies through value engineering.
- Thorough Documentation: Keep comprehensive records of all changes affecting product reliability and lifecycle value, ensuring they align with compliance and optimization standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with design, quality assurance, and manufacturing teams to embed reliability and value engineering into every stage of the product lifecycle.
- Effective Communication: Clearly articulate the advantages of reliability and value engineering to stakeholders, highlighting improvements in product performance, cost savings, and competitive edge.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in reliability engineering, preferably in product development within a relevant industry.
- Leadership experience in leading either a small group of direct reports or a cross functional team preferred.
- Strong understanding of reliability engineering principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Experience with reliability testing techniques and standards.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools such as JMP, Minitab, or similar.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and drive
- solutions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse
- teams.
- Certification in reliability engineering (e.g., CRE) is a plus.
