Position: Junior Java Developer
Client Industry: Banking
Duration: 18 month contract
Contract Type: W2 (We are unable to work C2C for this role. We are unable to provide sponsorship.)
Pay Rate: $53.60/hour
Location: HYBRID - 3 days onsite per week in Irving, Texas
Project:
- Will be a SCRUM team
- It’s a legacy application, working on modernizing it
- This team will work on the platform side of things
- Will be migrating the legacy system into a modern stack
- Supporting 162 functions for branch bankers
- Will not be doing a lot of Cloud work – must be comfortable working in a Legacy system
- Mostly backend work, API heavy
Must have:
- 2-4+ years of experience
- Java
- JavaScript
- HTML
- ReactJS
- MongoDB – basic SQL work, logging data securely into MongoDB
- They also use Splunk, should have an understanding of this
- Write test cases
- JUnit for back end and JEST for front end
Nice to have:
- Banking/Financial experience
- Kafka (preferred)
- Any messaging tool experience is fine
Job Description:
In this contingent resource assignment, you may:
- Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering and contribute to large-scale planning related to Software Engineering deliverables.
- Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Software Engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with client personnel in Software Engineering.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
