A great UHY client is seeking a IT Help Desk Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have IT Help Desk Experience and Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
The IT Help Desk Technician is a flexible position, with in office Mon-Fri and Remote Friday (opportunity to work ½ day Friday). This is a client direct hire position.
IT Help Desk Technician Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Analyze business issues and challenges to identify, evaluate, and recommend technology solutions to solve business problems and improve business decision-making with a focus on core systems, technology strategies, and standards.
- Primary responsibility for managing systems and processes related to the delivery of end-user support.
- Provide first tier troubleshooting for end-user technical support.
- Escalate issues beyond technical expertise to appropriate support personnel. Manage support ticket life cycle, ensuring that issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Assist users, when requested, in the technical set up of meetings in Foundation conference rooms.
- Maintain files, contracts, invoices, and other records.
- Maintain calendar and arrange schedules.
- Take notes or minutes at meetings.
- Proofread materials.
- Ensure follow-up for deadlines, timely reports, and other administrative details.
- Work to solve administration problems and suggest changes in internal process and procedures as needed.
- Track, review, and route invoices for approval and payment.
- Address and resolve relevant inquiries and questions.
- Manage lifecycle of equipment records.
- Collaborate with vendors and resources to achieve project goals.
- Maintain and update knowledgebase documentation to provide to staff, as well as contributing to the departmental depository of information.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders and vendors to ensure successful implementation of technology solutions in accordance with business requirements.
- Translate business requirements into appropriate technical specifications documenting functional specifications, conversions, interfaces, reports, forms, and workflows.
IT Help Desk Technician Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in this position.
- One to three years’ experience in an analyst role or IT environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Effective analytical and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The capacity for independent judgment.
- The ability to work effectively with people.
- The position requires an on-site presence in the Flint office Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Friday. Employees may flex their hours earlier in the week to work a half day on Friday, and they also have an additional bank of remote-work days each year.
