Program Manager (Global Payments, eCommerce, SAAS, Subscription renewals)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Manager of Payments to drive some very strategic programs within payment operations and strategy group. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving and running all aspects of our payment processes, ensuring seamless transactions, optimizing payment success rates, and reducing friction for our subscribers.
Responsibilities:
- Payment Strategy: Support global payment strategy aimed at optimizing payment success rates and minimizing payment-related issues.
- Program Management: Work collaboratively with a high-performing payments team, including payment directors, product management, engineering, analysts and specialists, to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Payment Operations: Help drive payment processing, fraud prevention, chargeback management, and payment reconciliation to ensure efficient and accurate payment transactions.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with payment service providers, financial institutions, and third-party vendors to enhance payment processing capabilities and negotiate favorable terms.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data-driven insights and analytics to identify payment trends, areas of improvement, and opportunities to reduce churn by improving payment success rates.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with relevant payment regulations and industry standards.
- Payment Experience: Continuously optimize the payment experience for subscribers, reducing friction and enhancing ease of payment.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including product, customer support, and ecommerce, to align payment strategies with overall business goals and customer satisfaction.
- Reporting and Metrics: Support achievement of KPIs; regularly report on payment success rates, transaction performance, and key metrics to senior management.
- Innovation: Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging payment technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and improve payment processes.
Drive execution at scale, leveraging industry best practices to deliver programs predictably and consistently Collaborate with the program sponsor, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, and work plan Execute program operating mechanisms to ensure timely and consistent communication of project status, milestones, timelines, and deliverables Manage change and implement interventions to deliver successful outcomes Identify risks and issues and presents recommended response plans to stakeholders
Qualifications:
8-10 years’ experience in program management.
- Agile and flexibility; ability to adapt to change.
- Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Intermediate experience in standard project management and collaboration tools (for example, ClickUp, Smartsheet, Asana, JIRA, Monday) Project/ Management certification (PMP or PgMP)
- Experience in both Waterfall and Agile methodology
Preferred:
- Strong understanding of payment compliance and security requirements.
- Experience across Global Payments, eCommerce Platform, SAAS, Subscription Based Services delivering on large-scale and cross-functional programs.
- Proven experience in payment operations, preferably in a subscription-based business or the payments industry.
- In-depth knowledge of payment processing, fraud prevention, and chargeback management.
- Experience in negotiating contracts and managing relationships with payment service providers and financial institutions.
