Key Responsibilities:
- Project Analysis: Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and drawings to deliver precise estimates.
- Bid Management: Complete take-offs, scope work for subcontractors, and prepare thorough estimates and proposals.
- Project Oversight: Assist with scheduling, job layout, change orders, and ensure accurate and timely delivery of bid proposals.
- On-Site Engagement: Travel to sites for bid reviews and inspections, managing project engineering duties like RFIs, submittals, and procurement.
- Change Orders & Closeouts: Oversee and manage change orders and project closeouts with efficiency and attention to detail.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 5-7 years in estimating heavy civil projects such as earthwork, site development, heavy highway/roadway, dams, and large civil structures.
- Specialization: Familiarity with US Army Corps of Engineers projects is a plus.
- Education: A 4-year degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Proficiency with HCSS Heavy Bid, Heavy Job, and MS Office Suite, along with a solid understanding of construction equipment applications and geotechnical work.
- Tech Savvy: Strong computer skills with the ability to manage various software and applications.
- License: Valid Driver’s License.
