This a 12 month contract position for one of our esteemed clients.
The Senior Systems Analyst (SA) position performs a wide variety of projects and assignments to support the development, testing, implementation and maintenance of new and modified information systems applications that meet the client’s customer requirements in an efficient and cost-effective manner. SA will work with users to identify business requirements and develop information technology solutions. SA may also recommend process and other improvements to achieve enhanced organizational performance.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Senior Business System Analyst or System Analyst
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skill, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- SAP or other ERP application experience preferred
- Knowledgeable in systems analysis and design, SDLC, quality assurance testing
- Bachelor’s degree required with a major in Business administration, IS Management or related field
Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Works with end users to identify business requirements, technical issues and training needs; analyzes current business processes and recommends best practice solutions
- Assists users in identifying work process and procedural changes to improve work efficiency and effectiveness
- Analyzes requests for new or existing programs and applications through documented work processes, functional requirements and an understanding of current system functions.
- Presents proposals for new approaches to include feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis, risk analysis and documentation of both functional and technical specifications to meet user needs
- Works with Procurement staff to develop Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), Request for Qualification (RFQ), etc; participates on software and vendor selection panels and supervises the work of outside vendors
- Tests new and revised configuration, programs and interfaces to ensure accuracy and efficiency; develops and executes test plans and creates test scenarios
- Analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves applications problems, communicating with internal and external resources
- Coordinates, conducts and facilitates user applications training classes; develops training materials and manuals
- Develops necessary reports, extraction programs, transfer rules, update rules as specified by business unit / user requirements
- Implements and supports SAP Business Warehouse current versions
- Works with Security team to develop appropriate access roles for SAP and other applications. May perform Segregation of Duty (SOD) analysis for roles assigned to users.
