Position: Construction Project Manager

Job Summary: The Construction Project Manager will oversee and manage construction projects from conception through completion. The daily duties of this position will include estimating, planning, and overseeing the process of various construction projects from start to finish. This also includes building and staying within the budget, retrieving the necessary permits, and communicating the client’s goals for certain projects to the subcontractors and construction workers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Budget Management: Create and manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure cost control measures are in place.
- Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule project activities, ensuring all phases of construction are completed on time.
- Team Leadership: Lead and supervise project teams, including subcontractors, laborers, and other personnel. Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure construction standards are met.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
- Compliance: Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
- Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or changes in project scope.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed project documentation, including contracts, permits, reports, and change orders.
- Communication: Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and team members.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional), CCM (Certified Construction Manager), or equivalent certification is preferred, Procore Certifications.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Primavera).
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Superior problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
