WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Strategic Design Leadership: Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive design strategy aligned with market trends, customer preferences, and company objectives; represent the company in industry events and conferences
- Product Innovation: Drive innovation in architectural design, floor plans, elevations, and community planning for single-family, multi-family, and custom homes
- Hands-On Design Execution: Actively participate in the architectural design process, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and high-quality deliverables for a range of residential projects, from concept to completion
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and the delivery of high-quality products on time and within budget
- Research and Development: Stay current with emerging trends in residential architecture, construction technologies, and sustainability practices
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility requirements
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience designing a diverse range of residential projects, including a successful track record with townhome design and spearheading new product initiatives. You will also bring:
- Proven Design Excellence: 7-10+ years architecture experience with demonstrated expertise in residential architectural design, particularly within a homebuilding or development-focused environment
- 3D Modeling Expertise: Proficiency in architectural software and 3D modeling/visualization tools (esp. Revit)
- Passion for Innovation: A passion for creating exceptional living spaces that meet the needs of diverse communities
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of the real estate development process, construction costs, and market dynamics
- Process Management & Collaboration: Demonstrated success managing processes and fostering collaboration in a fast-paced, dynamic setting
- Exceptional Communication: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, enabling the establishment of strong, productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Uncompromising Integrity: A reputation for upholding the highest ethical standards and maintaining professionalism in all interactions
- Architecture License (UT): Active architectural license in the state of Utah (or ability to quickly obtain it via NCARB license)
