We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Mechanical Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage mechanical construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution:
- Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of the project, including procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Budget & Cost Management:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimates, financial forecasting, and reporting.
- Track project costs and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
- Approve and manage subcontractor and supplier invoices and payments.
- Team Management:
- Lead and manage project teams, including subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel.
- Assign tasks, set project goals, and monitor team performance to ensure high productivity.
- Foster a positive working environment and ensure effective communication among all team members.
- Quality & Safety Assurance:
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures to maintain high standards throughout the project.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all team members adhere to safety regulations.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, keeping them informed of project progress and addressing any concerns.
- Prepare and present regular project reports to clients, senior management, and other stakeholders.
- Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs, ensuring that all changes are documented and communicated effectively.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
- Monitor and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical construction project management.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and related construction practices.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale mechanical construction projects.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and construction management software (e.g., Procore).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and building codes.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or similar is a plus.
