Job Title: IT Director
Location: Texas HQ (Hybrid options), with global travel
Company Overview: We are working with a leading global manufacturing company headquartered in Texas. As they embark on a major digital transformation, they are seeking an experienced IT Director to join the team. This role is pivotal in guiding the organization through the transition from legacy ERP and CRM systems to Microsoft Dynamics, ensuring a seamless upgrade and driving digital innovation across their global operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the company’s goals for digital transformation.
- Provide strategic leadership and vision for the IT department, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a global IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Digital Transformation:
- Oversee the transition from legacy ERP and CRM systems to Microsoft Dynamics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize the new system.
- Ensure minimal disruption to business operations during the transition process.
Project Management:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the digital transformation project, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management.
- Implement best practices for project management to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of the transformation project.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the primary point of contact between IT and other departments, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project goals and progress.
- Present regular updates to senior leadership and other stakeholders on the status of the digital transformation initiative.
System Integration & Optimization:
- Ensure seamless integration of Microsoft Dynamics with existing systems and processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements post-implementation.
Risk Management & Compliance:
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with the digital transformation project.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the IT function.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the IT team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in leading digital transformation projects, specifically upgrading from legacy ERP and CRM systems to Microsoft Dynamics.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing industry processes and requirements.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to travel globally as required.
Preferred Skills:
- PMP or similar project management certification.
- Experience in a global manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of other Microsoft technologies and solutions.
