Senior IT Project Manager

Duration: 2 Months (Opportunity of extension)
Location: San Jose, CA (On-site/Hybrid) or open to non-local candidates in CA who are willing to travel up to 100% to San Jose, CA.
Pay Rate Range: starting at $80/hr W2, rate negotiable depending on experience
We're seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Senior IT Project Manager to lead our integrated planning and cutover initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the development, execution, and oversight of comprehensive project plans, ensuring seamless transitions and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, encompassing timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Leverage your expertise in project management methodologies to drive efficiency and excellence.
Integrated Plan Orchestration
- Oversee the maintenance and alignment of integrated plans across cross-functional teams.
- Facilitate regular plan reviews and updates, ensuring alignment with individual program plans.
- Coordinate seamlessly with stakeholders to manage dependencies and ensure cohesion.
Cutover Excellence
- Develop and execute detailed cutover plans, encompassing transition strategies and contingency plans.
- Coordinate with IT, operations, and business units to ensure a smooth cutover execution.
- Conduct cutover rehearsals and simulations to identify and address potential issues proactively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
- 8-10+ years of project management experience, with a focus on integrated planning and cutover management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
Soft Skills:
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., SmartSheet, Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello).
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Other Information:
- This is a remote position with normal working hours of 9 am to 6 pm Pacific Time. Travel to US locations may be required.
- Occasional meetings outside of normal working hours will be expected.
