EH&S PROFESSIONAL NEEDED - COLDWATER, MICHIGAN
A Leading Manufacturing Company in the Coldwater, Michigan area needs an EH&S Professional. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays & Paid Vacation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for the right person to lead our strong EH&S program to the next level. The ideal candidate is an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Professional who will manage all aspects of employee health and safety and site environmental compliance and continuous improvement to advance the Company’s EH&S Programs, Processes and Systems.
Lead activities that drive site/company safety and environmental performance to higher levels (based on benchmarking), focusing on improvements that will increase the level of adherence and compliance to the Company’s EH&S objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in safety, environmental or equivalent major.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an EH&S role with demonstrated understanding of related principles and regulations.
- Strong persuasion and motivation skills as well as the ability to work across all disciplines and employee levels.
- Strong communication skills - written and verbal. Ability to accurately write reports, communicate verbally with employees, provide constructive feedback and maintain positive employee relations.
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs. and walk the plant floor on a regular basis.
- Ability to work variable hours, be on call and travel occasionally (<15%).
