Kelly Engineering is partnering with a global leader in the medical device industry to find an experienced Senior Consumables NPD Engineer. This role offers the opportunity to transform innovative product designs into sustainable, large-scale consumables production, driving the future of healthcare technology.
Why This Role?
- Lead the design, execution, and analysis of engineering studies focused on mechanical systems, automation equipment, plastic consumables, and packaging.
- Spearhead New Product Development (NPD) efforts, transitioning designs from Concept Phase through Development and into production. Your work will ensure robust performance, cost reduction, and large-scale manufacturability.
- Write and execute verification and validation protocols to support the transfer of designs into Production, adhering to FDA and ISO guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to develop high-quality consumable parts.
- Perform Failure Investigation (FI) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to understand and enhance consumables performance.
What We're Looking For:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, with 5-7 years in related roles.
- Strong knowledge of FMEA, SPC, DOE, and experience in failure investigation and root cause analysis.
- Expertise in injection molding principles, rapid prototyping, plastic part design, and high-volume manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and experience using MATLAB, R, Minitab, or Excel for data analysis.
