We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to take the lead on our EV charging infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing and implementing innovative EV charging systems, as well as strong project management and leadership skills to drive project success.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage EV charging infrastructure projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and compliance with regulations and standards.
- Provide technical guidance on the design of EV charging systems, including site selection and electrical distribution.
- Mentor and lead a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, utility companies, and other stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant safety standards throughout the design and installation processes.
- Stay current on advancements in EV charging technology and industry trends, incorporating this knowledge into project designs.
- Support business development by identifying new project opportunities and building relationships with potential clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably with a focus on EV charging infrastructure.
- Expertise in electrical codes and standards, including the NEC, and EV charging protocols (e.g., SAE J1772, CHAdeMO).
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Strong understanding of power systems, electrical distribution, and grounding.
- Proven project management skills and the ability to lead teams.
