We are seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (who can also serve as a teacher if needed) to support a gifted student entering Year 2. The job is located in the Bahamas, but we are looking for a UK trained teacher.
About the Role:
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with the Year 2 teacher to deliver engaging learning experiences tailored to the student's advanced abilities.
- Facilitate small-group sessions that challenge and extend the student's knowledge in specific areas, specifically in math.
- Provide individualized support to help the student reach their full potential, fostering a love of learning and a growth mindset.
- Observe and assess the student's progress, collaborating with the teacher to track development and adjust strategies as needed.
- Maintain a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
- Communicate effectively with parents to keep them informed of the student's progress and collaborate on learning goals.
You are a great fit if you:
- Have experience as a teaching assistant or with helping teach generally
- Have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Are creative, patient, and able to adapt your teaching style to meet individual needs.
- Are passionate about promoting a positive learning environment.
- Are willing to live in the Bahamas and are discrete
