Job Title: Senior Test Automation Lead with Banking Domain
Job Location: Pittsburg, PA/Dallas, TX
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer with a strong background in web and API test automation. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in designing and implementing test automation frameworks, with a focus on Selenium for web testing and Karate for API testing, or similar frameworks. The role requires leadership capabilities to guide and mentor a test automation team towards achieving operational excellence.
The Role
Responbilities:
- Develop and maintain robust test automation frameworks for web applications using Selenium with Java.
- Design and implement API test automation strategies using Karate or other relevant frameworks.
- Work with Cucumber for Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and ensure integration of test suites into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Utilize JUnit for unit testing and contribute to the enhancement of testing practices.
- Operate within IntelliJ or other IDEs to develop and debug automated test scripts.
- Lead and mentor a team of test automation engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and develop effective test plans.
- Continuously assess and integrate new testing tools and practices to improve the test automation ecosystem.
- Monitor automated tests, analyze results, report and track defects, and provide detailed test reports
Requirement:
You are:
- Experience in test automation, with a significant portion dedicated to web and API testing.
- Proven experience with Selenium and Java for web test automation.
- Practical experience with Karate for API testing or proficiency with similar test automation frameworks.
- Experience with tools like Cucumber, JUnit, and IntelliJ IDEA.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a test automation team.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
