My client, a global retail grocery company is actively looking for a Cloud FinOps and Governance Specialist to join their team! This role is 100% Remote and is contracted through the end of the year with potential for extensions.

MUST HAVES:
- Azure cost management, financial principles, business analytics, technology controls, governance processes, and experience with cost allocation and compliance tools.
- Cloud FinOps with a blend of technology operations and cost management is required for this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Cloud governance with the continued development and evolution of the cloud control framework and governance processes, including underlying toolsets.
- Partner with the Global team to create effective design, analysis, and remediation of controls
- Stay educated on the latest cost optimization strategies and technologies; gather insights and develop new opinions and strategies around cloud optimization and present solutions to leadership.
- Drive FinOps value by helping customers in understanding their cloud spend based on their business goals and budget, create, maintain month-end and quarter-end reports.
- Provide reporting on Azure resources and offer actionable intelligence to right-sizing and optimization efforts.
- Provide input and tracking of cloud costs to the overall financial budgets, forecasts, and actuals.
- Partner with the product and infrastructure teams to ensure appropriate tagging and alerts strategies are deployed and maintained at scale to manage costs.
- Partner with the Cloud Enablement team to define and prioritize improvements to our FinOps, cost management, cost governance and reporting capabilities.
- Track customers at risk and escalate through the customer escalation process.
- Identify Security Vulnerability Mitigation Plans, collaborate with customers to remediate Security Vulnerabilities
- Track customer Security Risks and escalate through the customer escalation process.
- Baseline Azure Security Score for Azure and execute plans to show month over month improvement.
