We are representing a globally recognized manufacturing organization who is actively seeking an Engineering Manager (Product Design/Mechanical Design) due to a recently announced promotion. Reporting to the Engineering Director, this individual will lead a group of (6) Engineers while acting as the functional expert (Lead level) within this team. Our client has experienced (4) consecutive years of double digit growth. The Director is looking to begin the interview process ASAP!
POSITION OVERVIEW
- The Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading (6) Product Design/Mechanical Design Engineers while acting as the Group "Lead". This position will act as the "functional expert" within the group.
- Candidate will be responsible for Project Scheduling and Resource Planning
- Coach/Develop/Mentor Engineers
- Responsible for completing detailed models and drawings that meet Design Requirements.
- Support issue resolution activities during machine builds and performance trials
- Responsible for Bill of Materials for new equipment and service offers.
- Conducting and supporting design reviews with Executive Leadership
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design, or related technical field is required for consideration
- Candidate should have strong working knowledge of design software (i.e. SOLIDWORKS, AUTOCAD, etc)
- Leadership experience is preferred but not a requirement.
- Candidate should be comfortable presenting information to Senior Leadership.
