The purpose of Alabaster Jar Project is to empower survivors of trafficking and sexual exploitation. Our program provides a safe, nurturing living or other environment designed to facilitate spiritual, physical, mental and emotional healing along with an array of supportive services and educational opportunities for survivors of trafficking and sexual exploitation in San Diego County.
Our program consists of a long-term residential home that houses up to five women (Grace House) as well as a Resource Center that provides tangible needs of clothing, toiletries, drop-in case management with connection to community resources and a peer-led support group.
Program Support Specialist III will perform the following:
- Provide direct service support to clients following established program structure.
- Coordinate with Program Director and case management team for programming requirements.
- Communicate on an ongoing basis with Program Director and case management team pertaining to insights regarding clients as well as red-flags and warning signs for intervention needed with clients.
- Keep and maintain case management records.
- Act as a mentor/coach to program residents throughout their time in the program, model and maintain appropriate professional and interpersonal boundaries with each client/resident.
- Collaborate with case management team to assist clients in creating and maintaining daily schedules for household chores, meals, outings, and other tasks.
- Support guests in maintaining program guidelines and regulations.
- Mediate interpersonal conflicts among residential program guests.
- Provide transportation for program residents to resource center, social activities and appointments as needed.
- Attend weekly “Grace House staff meetings.”
- Attend Weekly “House Meetings” with Grace House residents and staff.
- Attend monthly “All Staff Meetings.”
- Other job duties as assigned.
