Qualifications:
- Strong development and sales skills with proven results.
- Leadership abilities, with an entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset.
- High integrity, discretion, and a positive, energetic attitude.
- Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including contract negotiation and dispute resolution.
- Experience in crisis management and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in developing and executing large-scale events, ideally for non-profits.
- Successful track record in securing major sponsorships.
- Strong understanding of donor development processes.
- Exceptional project management skills, including managing complex budgets and timelines.
- Leadership experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
- Familiarity with project management tools like Monday.com and Excel.
- Excellent networking and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with large conferences is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Secure corporate sponsorships and support fundraising initiatives.
- Develop and manage comprehensive sponsorship and fundraising programs.
- Lead the strategy and execution of regional cultivation and stewardship events.
- Create and execute strategies to achieve financial goals through events, sponsors, and donor revenue.
- Mentor and lead the event management team.
- Participate in the Senior Leadership Team to develop organizational goals and enhance collaboration.
- Manage department and event budgets.
- Collaborate with other departments to support the organization's mission.
- Oversee the production and management of key events, including sponsorships and budgets.
- Build and cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and key stakeholders.
- Track projects, contacts, and communications to ensure successful event execution.
- Partner with the Marketing and Communications Team on PR, social media, and content development.
- Develop and execute event prospecting strategies to increase revenue and attendance.
- Ensure high-quality events that enhance revenue, brand, and donor involvement.
Benefits:
- Salary Range: $150,000 to $200,000, plus bonus and benefits.
- Ownership of event success and sponsorship procurement.
- Up to 30% travel required.
- Reports to the Executive Director, with direct engagement with the CEO.
