We are seeking a Environmental Project Engineer EIT to join our Redmond, WA team! Come join us!
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
This exciting new position will support fish habitat enhancement and other transportation projects throughout Western Washington. The position will be out of our office in Redmond, WA, but will include intermittent field inspection at various locations on the Olympic and Kitsap Peninsulas (e.g., Ocean Shores, Forks, Sequim, Port Gamble, etc.), and more locally for our larger transportation jobs. Core duties include preparing permit-level drawings using Microstation or AutoCAD, designing temporary sediment and erosion control (TESC) plans, preparing temporary stream bypass plans, calculating storage requirements for temporary stormwater treatment, etc. But the successful candidate may help with field work including fish exclusion in the summer, assisting with wetland delineation and tree studies, monitoring streams post construction, permit drafting, etc. An interest in habitat restoration and willingness to perform adjacent tasks will be key to the success of the candidate.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, Hydraulic Engineering or a related field.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- Strong academic background with a focus on environmental engineering principles.
- Knowledge of local, state and federal Environmental Regulations
- Effective communication and report drafting.
Technical requirements:
- Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Microstation for drafting and design.
- Experience with fish passage restoration projects in the Western Washington region will be considered a major strength.
- Ability to draft permit documents and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with MGS flood, Rational Method, or similar methods of determining flow rates and stormwater storage.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong interest in environmental conservation and restoration efforts.
Compensation:
$36 - $42 hourly
The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
