One of the world’s leaders in engineering, advisory, and project management for energy is looking for a Senior Process Engineer to provide process engineering expertise to project teams as required for the successful execution of brownfield & greenfield projects. Working cross-functionally, the new team member will develop and implement process improvement strategies to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, quality, and safety while adhering to company work processes.

Responsibilities:
Technical
- Provide process engineering and design support fo multiple brownfield and greenfield projects.
- Engage with the multidisciplinary team and coordinate process engineering activities along with providing necessary input to other disciplines.
- Handle process studies (e.g., feasibility, technical assessment, alternatives analysis etc.).
- Handle process calculations (e.g., process simulations, vessel sizing, line sizing, PSV sizing, pump sizing, heat exchanger sizing, flare sizing, radiation and dispersion, blowdown calculation, etc.).
- Proficient in deliverables (heat and material balances, utility balances, Process Flow Diagrams (PFD’s) and Utility Flow Diagrams (UFD’s), Piping and Instruments Diagrams (P&ID’s) mark ups, operating narratives, safe charts, process philosophy, Process System Description, etc.) and be responsible for them.
- Mentor junior engineers on various aspects of process engineering and design
Non-Technical/Supervisory
- Ensure technical group compliance with company internal QMS procedures and company policies.
- Adhere to company work processes to create deliverable documents in support of projects.
- Actively participate on project teams to meet required goals of our business partners.
- Participate in business partner presentations when required.
- Maintain awareness of state-of-the-art technology and market trends affecting company products & services and recommend responsive actions.
- Plan, schedule, establish priorities, control expenditures, resolve resource allocation issues, and take appropriate measures to ensure work meets specifications and is completed on schedule.
- Represent the company in a positive and professional manner.
- Participate in any other tasks assigned by the VP of Operations and Engineering.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or similar degree
- PE registration in Texas preferred
- 5-10+ years of experience working for consulting engineers or oil and gas exploration / production companies
- Floating facilities / offshore experience
- Brownfield upgrade experience preferred
- General office environment
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Project) required
- HYSYS, UNISIM, FLARESIM
- PIPE SIM
- May require sitting for long periods of time
- May require occasional site visits offshore and/or to other countries
- May require air travel times greater than eight hours (one-way)
- May require travel by helicopter or boat from shore base to offshore locations
