Role Summary
The Technical Product Manager III is responsible for defining and executing the technical strategy for a platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs. They prioritize tasks and features based on technical feasibility, business impact, and user feedback, while collaborating closely with engineering teams to translate requirements into actionable plans. This role oversees the product development lifecycle, manages the roadmap, and ensures the platform’s technical integrity and quality. They act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, effectively communicating complex technical concepts in an understandable manner.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Technical Product Manager III will shape the future by partnering with key stakeholders, product managers, and cross-functional engineering teams to design and build technical platforms that enable the development and integration of numerous applications, products or services.
- The successful candidate will own and drive platform vision, strategy, and roadmaps.
- The successful candidate must be comfortable working with business stakeholders, product management, technical architects, engineers, and design/UX.
- A successful candidate will be able to handle multiple projects, evaluating priority, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in delivery.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop the near, mid and long-term holistic capabilities strategy with a strong focus on revenue growth and technical platform evolution
- Lead improvement of experience through development of new and innovative solutions and product capabilities
- Ensure the alignment of platform roadmap to business goals and drive execution and evolution of platform
- Lead cross functional, cross channel teams in shaping future platform decisions and strategies
- Provide regular, impactful communication of priorities, progress and impact to stakeholders
- Define and evangelize platform visions; translate vision into roadmaps and detailed execution plans
- Maintain roadmaps including iterations; break down large scale initiatives into user stories
- Map processes, identify process improvements, and influence team and stakeholders
- Document user requirements including launch and ongoing KPIs to monitor product health and ongoing business value
- Manage schedules and tasks related to all aspects of product development, launch, and enhancements
- Leads in the adoption and maturing of agile practices based on SAFe best practices
- Manage multiple tasks concurrently and work within tight deadlines to balance workload effectively
- Create specifications for both functional and non-functional requirements (NFRs) of the product, ensuring alignment with architecture designs and key integration points within the platform, accounting for DR, resilience, stability and security.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks during development, collaborate with teams to address roadblocks, and develop contingency plans for project risks
