The Global PMO Director plays a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining an effective Project Management Office and building the foundation for portfolio management within the Global OCP Strategy & Innovation organization, impacting initiatives and business growth across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Vice President of Innovation and R&D for our Innovation Platform, the Global PMO director dedicates time to overseeing and managing project(s) or program(s) within the organization, ensuring that they achieve value-added delivery on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
Leadership & Planning:
- Establish the PMO role and organization, serving in managerial and hands-on delivery capacities accountable for project/program management spanning global innovation and R&D function.
- Build, implement, manage and govern project/program management office practices, tools, templates, processes, and metrics.
- Interface with executives & leadership stakeholders to define project priorities, implementation opportunities, challenges and communicate project risks and opportunities.
- Provide executive leaders with the information needed to assess and decide which proposals have the highest potential value, impact and strategic alignment.
Project/Program Management, Reporting & Communication:
- Design and implement project management methodology (including agile approach), best practices and effective tools that the global innovation portfolio will consolidate into and operate within.
- Collaboratively develop & manage project and program management (PPM) roadmap and portfolio, tracking and status including project/program manager specific accountabilities such as setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables.
- Analyze financial data, including project budgets, risks, and determine resource allocation
- Provide data, financial reports and budget outlines and status to key stakeholders and/or governance teams
- Oversee the development and overall execution of projects including planning, execution, and oversight of all aspects of assigned project or program
- Ensure project governance, timelines and budget are achieved escalating potential risks/delays and driving determination of resolution and get-to-green activities.
Team Leadership:
- Manage future state PM team for the delivery of projects/programs on time, within scope and on budget.
- Create and deploy training material, ensuring focus on individual development, growth and ongoing learning.
Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of project management experience
- 3+ years of PMO leadership experience, preferably in the agricultural industry.
- Experience with implementing Lean-Agile portfolio management
- PMP certification
Preferred:
- Certified SAFe and experience within innovative/high-growth business
- Experience working across global teams
