Position: I&E Engineer (12 Month + Contract)

CDI Engineering Solutions is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries.
Summary:
IE Engineer to support FEL work onsite at client facility.
Responsibilities:
Develop project design engineering scopes of work.
Experience specifying and troubleshooting substation equipment (transformers, switchgear, etc.) up to 25,000 Volts.
Experience specifying and troubleshooting 480 Volt electrical equipment (motor control centers, VFDs, etc.).
Experience specifying and troubleshooting backup power solutions such as UPS systems, batteries, and generators.
Experience specifying and troubleshooting harmonic filters.
Review electrical engineering design deliverables for ongoing projects (one-line diagrams, motor schematics, cable schedules, grounding plans, etc.).
Understand and apply the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70).
Coordinate with engineering company project manager and project engineer.
Coordinate with client representatives on daily basis.
Perform electrical calculations (load studies, voltage drop, lighting, etc.).
Familiarity with NFPA 70E (Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace).
Support other disciplines: Instrumentation, Civil, Process, Mechanical.
Qualifications:
Experience specifying and troubleshooting substation equipment (transformers, switchgear, etc.) up to 25,000 Volts.
Degreed Electrical Engineer to develop project design engineering scope of work.
Experience working in a petrochemical facility.
Effective communication skills – both verbal and written.
Must possess model interpersonal and professional behaviors.
Education Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
