Currently seeking an Automated Test Engineer with RECENT Squish/QT experience for a well-established Global Lighting Company who provides solutions for large architectural spaces for clients such as Disney, the Oscars, and the Grammys!
Location: 100% remote - 2 week training in Austin, TX - expense paid
Rate: Market/Flexible based on experience
Length: 6-12 months with potential to extend or convert
Start: 2-3 weeks upon accepted offer (flexible)
Key Responsibilities:
* Test Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Squish for applications built with the Qt framework.
* Test Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement test automation strategies and plans that align with project goals.
* Test Execution & Reporting: Execute automated test scripts, analyze results, and report defects using test management tools. Provide detailed reports on test outcomes and suggest improvements.
* Continuous Integration: Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous testing and faster delivery cycles.
* Test Case Management: Develop, review, and optimize automated test cases to increase test coverage and efficiency.
* Code Review & Best Practices: Participate in code reviews and adhere to best practices for test automation, ensuring high code quality and maintainability.
* Collaboration: Work closely with developers, QA teams, and product managers to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
* Tool & Framework Development: Enhance existing test automation frameworks and tools or develop new ones to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
* Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test scripts, and test execution results.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar.
* Experience with Squish for test automation of Qt applications.
* Familiarity with the Qt framework and related development tools.
* Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
* Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies and test management tools like Jira, TestRail, or similar.
* Knowledge of other programming languages (e.g., C++, C#) is a plus.
* Experience in performance testing and load testing.
