Position Overview: The Director of Global Security Engineering will lead the development and implementation of advanced security engineering strategies and solutions to safeguard our global operations. This role requires a deep understanding of security technologies, risk management, and leadership skills to build and guide a high-performing security engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in designing and deploying comprehensive security architectures and will be adept at managing complex, cross-functional projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a global security engineering strategy aligned with the company’s overall security goals and business objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate security engineering initiatives with business priorities.
- Stay abreast of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to continuously enhance the company’s security posture.
- Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of security engineers, providing guidance, support, and professional development.

- Security Architecture and Engineering:
- Design, implement, and oversee security architectures that protect the company’s infrastructure, applications, and data.
- Ensure the integration of security controls and measures into all aspects of technology and operations.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to maintain compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Risk Management and Incident Response:
- Identify and assess security risks, and develop strategies to mitigate and manage these risks.
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches or vulnerabilities, coordinating with other teams to manage and resolve issues effectively.
- Conduct regular security assessments, including penetration tests and vulnerability scans, to identify and address potential threats.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with IT, operations, and other departments to ensure security solutions are integrated seamlessly into the company’s technology ecosystem.
- Partner with external vendors, consultants, and industry experts to leverage additional expertise and resources.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and present regular reports on security status, incidents, and improvements to senior management and stakeholders.
- Maintain thorough documentation of security policies, procedures, and incident response activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master’s degree or relevant certifications preferred).
- Proven experience in a senior security engineering role, with a track record of successful leadership and project management.
- Extensive knowledge of security frameworks, protocols, and technologies, including but not limited to firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and encryption.
- Strong understanding of risk management, incident response, and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, ISO 27001).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and act decisively under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
