Overview:
We have partnered with a nationwide general contractor with over 70 years of industry experience, renowned for providing exceptional building services across various markets. As part of their strategic expansion, they are looking to grow their business unit in Houston.
With continued growth and expansion, they are looking to add a Project Executive to the Houston team. The office currently generates $150 million in revenue and consists of just over 30 team members.
In this role, you will oversee a team managing projects ranging from $15 million to $250 million, primarily focusing on Healthcare, Higher Education, and Municipal projects. A strong background in client relations and a proven track record of securing repeat client work are essential.

Requirements:
- A B.A. or B.S. in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience managing construction projects over $30 million in the Houston Metropolitan Area.
- Preferably has experience with local School and government districts.
Program Management & Operational Excellence:
- You will ensure compliance and operational excellence in areas such as contract review, estimating, business unit turnover coordination, risk management, and performance.
- Support project bidding by reviewing bid requirements, assisting with Bid Team assignments, reviewing scope coverage, developing the Bid Schedule, and helping create the General Conditions budget.
- Participate in successful project buyouts.
- You will be accountable for ongoing safety on job sites, reviewing and mitigating accident trends, and enforcing corrective actions to ensure safety, quality, profitability, and timely project completion.
- Regularly visit project sites to stay updated on construction activities.
- Provide feedback to Estimating/Pre-Construction teams for current projects and future bids or negotiations.
- Take a leading role in addressing legal matters as they arise.
- Maintain regular worksite attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Talent Development & Management:
- Participate in recruiting, training, reviewing, and supervising project personnel, contributing to the selection, training, and development of key positions.
- Foster learning and development partnerships with team members to support their career growth.
- Assist in creating cross-functional teams and group project plans to promote a solution-oriented environment.

Business Development & Account Management:
- You will maintain and expand existing client and account relationships, acting as the "owner" of each new and existing account assigned and serving as the primary point of contact for clients.
- Collaborate with the Business Unit Leader and Business Development Manager to identify new account and project opportunities by market sector and geography, contributing to the development of Account Plans.
- Participate in late-stage business development activities, including proposal and presentation development. Work closely with the Business Development Manager and Marketing team to craft narratives and review deliverables that articulate the message developed during earlier stages.
- Partner with Business Development to attend networking and industry/client events, and participate in client entertainment activities as appropriate.
- Help review and manage assigned project development plans and budgets.
- Work closely with the Business Unit Leader to ensure compliance with process management and reporting related to corporate policy and contract documents.
- Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to develop Individual Project Pursuit Plans.
