A leading environmental consulting firm is seeking an Environmental Project Engineer, Scientist, or Geologist to join their collaborative team in Denver, CO. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing environmental investigation and remediation projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services, preparing technical proposals and reports, conducting environmental research and analyses, overseeing field investigations, and managing staff. This position provides an opportunity to enhance both project management and leadership skills, interact with clients, and work on diverse small and large-scale projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage environmental investigation and remediation projects.
- Perform complex analyses within larger engineering and/or environmental projects.
- Supervise field activities and ensure accurate interpretation of findings.
- Oversee multiple projects and tasks, adhering to specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines.
- Draft, review, and edit proposals, reports, and other technical documentation.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expand existing project work, and attend client meetings.
- Manage and mentor junior staff on project assignments, including coaching, training, and assisting in hiring processes.
- Coordinate with other teams across different office locations and disciplines as needed.
- Maintain professional and effective communication with clients, contractors, subcontractors, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Science, or Geology; Master's degree preferred.
- PE or PG certification is a plus.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in environmental due diligence and technical analyses.
- Experience with quantitative/technical analyses and related software.
- Hazwoper training, including annual physical and respirator fit test, and 8-hour Hazwoper re-certification.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
- Excellent public speaking, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and clients, develop and manage project budgets, and effectively lead and mentor staff.
Salary & Benefits:
$85,000-$120,000 (Depending on experience)
