Purpose:
Offer comprehensive support for all networks, platforms, and corporate applications. Identify and troubleshoot computer issues, determine their root causes, and implement effective solutions. Understand the network infrastructure environment and provide necessary support
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with end users experiencing hardware or software issues to quickly resolve problems or develop temporary workarounds until a permanent solution is found.
- Research issues using all available resources, such as online forums and professional networks, to generate potential solutions.
- Manage and address day-to-day network issues.
- Set up new laptops for employees and coordinate with management to determine necessary access requirements.
- Assist with onboarding new personnel.
- Create new user accounts, mailboxes, and other necessary setups in Active Directory.
- Maintain regular and effective communication with users regarding ongoing equipment issues.
- Participate in scheduled after-hours support alongside other IT staff.
- Train users on the proper use of hardware, software, and equipment.
- Create and maintain network documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and working practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science or equivalent 10 years of experience in an IT support role.
- Must have experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure and Office 365.
- Must have basic knowledge of the fundamentals of network technology including, but not limited to, DNS, DHCP, infrastructure and wireless.
