We're looking for a growth-centric PMO Manager to help us achieve our mission of becoming the best. Ideal candidates will be able to work a hybrid schedule at our Scottsdale, AZ office, New York City office or Texas Headquarters in DFW area (typically 3 days onsite, 2 days remote). Some travel may be required.
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the PMO Manager drives the planning and execution of the Great American Media technology team efforts while establishing operational standard methodologies, process, procedure, and governance across the company. This leadership role requires an individual with relevant industry experience in Project/Program Management (media technology industries), and staff management experience to develop and lead departmental staff and work in a collaborative style while building strong cross-functional partnerships driving organizational accountability to meet the company's goals.
The PMO Manager will directly lead large cross-functional initiatives in partnership with Engineering, Acquisitions, Operations, & Contracted Technology partners. This role engages with all teams and functional leads to define, prioritize, execute, and track project milestones, resources, and budget allocations across the platforms.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Champion best practices in Program Management including the use of new tools and resources, standardized across the company, to achieve project and product deliverables and milestones.
- Cultivate a best-in-class PMO governance process across the Product and Operations portfolio.
- Lead linear and digital media cross-functional initiatives in partnership with Engineering, Acquisitions, Operations, & Technology partners.
- Support Operational and Technical teams at the project level when challenges arise ensuring consistency across all product platforms.
- Drive accountability for Project team performance.
- Drive cross functional alignment and communication to ensure support for approved projects.
- Promote cross-discipline synergy for operational systems and processes at enterprise level by leading or collaborating key strategic areas: Technology, Acquisitions, Operations and Marketing.
- Engage with all teams as a functional lead to define, prioritize, execute, and track project milestones, resources, and budget allocations across the platforms.
- Facilitate best practices and lessons learned post product launch in order to drive Product portfolio and Operations continuous improvement opportunities.
- Other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, or related field, or equivalent working experience.
- 7+ years of successful experience with Operations, and Project Management or related functions in Business Management, Software Engineering, Video, Movie or VOD Platforms.
- Demonstrated success defining and managing large, complex projects in a linear/digital media environment using engineering resources and in compliance with specifications and testing environments.
- Demonstrated experience with PM Tools, reporting and integration.
- Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of fundamental business principles
- Experience leading PMO governance processes including process creation, feature/product planning management, resource management, and execution.
- Experience managing and building teams, including strong leadership of both matrixed teams and direct reports.
- Excellent oral and written communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and build a consensus in a high-pressure environment.
