Job Summary:
As the Vice President of Retail at Rembrandt Foods and Artisan Kitchens, you will lead the development and execution of our sales strategies, driving growth across various market verticals. This role is critical in managing national CPG relationships and direct retail customer interactions. You will be responsible for guiding the budgeting and forecasting process, aligning strategic pricing, and optimizing our demand portfolio. Your leadership will ensure the achievement of revenue targets, successful product launches, and overall sales excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of sales strategy
- Refine simple, trackable metrics
- Continue to develop tools and training to enable our team with the proper tools to win in the marketplaces we target.
- Management of Key Relationships:
- Oversee and strengthen relationships with national CPG partners, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational requirements.
- Manage and nurture direct relationships with retail customers, negotiating terms, and driving mutually beneficial agreements.
- Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Identify and define target markets and customer segments for new product introductions.
- Develop and implement effective pricing models, sales collateral, and marketing campaigns tailored to different verticals.
- Supervise the sales pipeline and manage key customer relationships to achieve and surpass revenue targets.
- Leadership of Business Development Managers:
- Lead and mentor a team of Business Development Managers, providing guidance and support in growing sales across various verticals.
- Set clear objectives and performance metrics for the team, ensuring alignment with overall sales goals and strategic initiatives.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven sales culture within the team.
- Business Development and Expansion:
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities that align with the company’s growth strategy.
- Oversee marketing and research and development efforts to support new products and enhance existing business opportunities.
- Sales Forecasting and Planning:
- Direct the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accurate sales projections and integration into strategic planning discussions.
- Represent sales forecasts in short- and long-term planning, including capital investment prioritization.
- Project and Commercial Oversight:
- Represent commercial needs in co-manufacturing agreements with the Egg Desk, focusing on optimizing input costs and mitigating risks.
- Manage special projects as needed, ensuring they align with company objectives and drive sales growth.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience (10 years).
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in sales, with demonstrated success in managing CPG relationships and direct retail customer interactions.
- Proven experience leading and developing teams, particularly in business development roles.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to travel up to 35% of the time.
- Valid Driver’s License in good standing.
