Program Development Engineer

As a Program Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the early phases of new program development—ensuring that timelines are met, and purchase orders are received promptly.
Our job shop is dynamic and fast-paced, with projects across industries such as automotive, medical, heavy construction, aerospace, and railroad. No two days will be alike, challenging your communication and organizational skills in the best ways possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project requirements and technical specs to prepare accurate, competitive quotations.
- Review cost estimates, materials, and labor needs to ensure precise pricing.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets in partnership with key stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure timely, on-budget, and within-scope delivery of projects.
- Collaborate effectively across departments, coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors, and oversee projects from quote to launch.
- Present regular updates on project milestones to internal teams and clients.
What We’re Looking For:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with 3 years of engineering or related training and 3 years of project management experience in manufacturing.
- Strong analytical mindset with keen attention to detail.
- Solid project management skills.
- Willingness to learn blueprint reading, design reviews, and 3D modeling if not already proficient.

This is an on-site position at our headquarters at 838 S. 16th Street in Manitowoc, WI.
