This position will be a hybrid work arrangement, which translates to 2-3 days minimum per week in the office.
The Quantitative DevOps Engineer will have an outstanding opportunity to contribute to the establishment and implementation of CI/CD pipelines and support the maintenance of environments, from development through production, within their world-class Azure-based Investment Data Analytics Platform. As a crucial member of the team, you will provide process-automation expertise that elevates the efficiency and productivity of their sophisticated software development team. This role offers the chance to work on high-impact, high-complexity projects, with significant strategic importance to the organization.
What you bring:
- Five years of proven experience applying DevOps and process-automation expertise within a development and test team, preferably on a data-centered application.
- Proven experience in the implementation and administration of Git-based code repositories and branching/versioning standards.
- Hands-on scripting skills for integration, test, and deployment pipelines, including approval gates.
- Proficient in the use of containerization technologies, such as Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes.
- Experienced in both Windows and Linux based infrastructure.
- Familiarity with managing cloud-based resources using the infrastructure as code (IaC) technique, ideally under Microsoft Azure.
What You Will Do:
Engineering and Automation: 70%
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, test specialists, and infrastructure teams to maintain efficient and effective deployment processes and artifacts.
- Collaborate closely with relevant individuals to develop and manage software repositories and pipelines.
- Design, implement, and maintain automation toolsets for configuration management and IaC.
Release Coordination: 30%
- Coordinate the release process in collaboration with development, test, and business teams.
- Continuously evaluate CI/CD processes for efficiency and control improvements.
Education Preferred
- Bachelor of Arts (B.A), or equivalent experience
Experience
- 3-5 years of DevOps experience for SaaS applications
