CDI Engineering Solutions is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries.
Position Summary:
Project Manager III plans, directs, organizes, and executes designated project activities to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within schedule and budget. Champions and administers CDI project management processes and procedures. Works with clients to develop project scope and prepare proposals to fulfill the project needs.
Responsibilities:
Provide program and project leadership under the general supervision of the Manager of Projects.
Independently coordinate and monitor discipline work to achieve desired project results.
Establish and maintain client relations and lead proposal development efforts.
Leads project scope development for proposals when an RFP is not provided by the client.
Manage overall project execution including resource allocation and management, schedule and budget control, status reporting, contract management, change management, client and CDI communications.
Ensures CDI process and procedures are followed and properly documented.
Identify project risk and develop and execute mitigation measures.
Maximize profitability for CDI.
Coach and mentor project team.
Ensure a safe work environment and a safe design, per CDI and client safety guidelines.
Complies with all CDI operating guidelines and standards.
Qualifications:
Proven engineering project management experience leading multidiscipline teams for execution of project in excess of $50 million TIC.
Experience with project management tools including scheduling, budgeting, earned value management and resource planning.
Previous consulting experience.
Organization capabilities including planning, organizing and managing small and large projects.
Diverse knowledge of all areas of engineering execution, discipline interface, how information flows between disciplines and how to tailor to the project.
Knowledge and experience with contracting, procurement and materials management.
Excellent communication and public relation skills including experience with customer relations.
Positive attitude and strong work ethic with a desire to excel in a collaborative team environment.
Basic computer skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft applications. Use of Sharepoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field from four-year college or university is desired.
Ten (10) years of experience in the engineering industry, with 5 years as a Project Manager.
Professional certification/registration preferred, not required.
15 + years' experience in lieu of degree. Experience based on knowledge, skills, and abilities may qualify with the approval of Director of Operations.
