Job Summary:
The role involves driving the development of innovative product concepts and business models, integrating market needs with new technologies, and leading the design and support of complex systems and projects. You’ll be responsible for sponsoring major technology initiatives, championing key projects, and collaborating on competitive assessments. The position requires preparing technical documentation, supporting the design team with technical input, and occasional travel to field sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and plan new product concepts and business models.
- Oversee design and support for diverse and extensive systems/projects.
- Advocate for and drive major technology changes.
- Evaluate competitive products and trends.
- Produce technical reports, diagrams, and correspondence.
- Support design teams and assist with project cost estimates.
- Write and maintain departmental procedures and policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering required.
- Over 12 years of experience in electrical engineering, including offshore projects.
- Expertise in marine electrical engineering and oil & gas sectors.
- Experience with certifying agencies and hazardous area design preferred.
- Hands-on experience with commissioning and factory acceptance testing is a plus.
- Ability to review and generate electrical schematics and specifications.
- Knowledge of electrical system design tools and construction methods.
