Responsibilities:
- Develops manufacturing processes by studying productrequirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
- Achieves production objectives with regards to capacity, equipment efficiency and scrap rate.
- Implements SS program in the engineering department
- Programming Horizontal and vertical CNC milling machines/CNC lathes
- Work with quality engineers to find and fix root causes in case of customer complaints.
- Setting up process to ensure production, delivery and quality meets all specifications.
- Develops machining process, designs fixtures and machining tools in cooperation with headquarters.
- Responsible for achievement of company goals with regards to quality and productivity. This includes tracking, monitoring charts and assessing, developing and following through with necessary action plans.
- Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, summarizing information and trends.
- Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.
- Assures compliancewith approved methods and quality standards.
- Set-up of production equipment and machining cells to meet customer timing and quality together with setup technicians.
- Training of set-up technicians on existing and new production systems/processes.
- Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
- Set-up daily inspection and adjustments on fixtures and tools
- Preparation of maintenance schedules for equipment as per the manufacturer’s recommendation.
- Overall Equipment Effectiveness, housekeeping, scrap and overtime through proper maintenance of the equipment and the building.
- Coordination of installation of production equipment and production cells to meet customer timing and quality
- Improve cycle times and reduce scrap rates.
- Supports planningof the layout of equipment, workflow, manufacturing methods,and workforce utilization.
- Must be able to work additional hours as needed,including weekends.

Education/Experience Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Knowledge in the fields of machining and casting of aluminum components
3+ years' experience in the automotive industry and the technical and quality requirements.
Metric drawing readingskills required.
