Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Sr. Systems Architect at DICE Defense LLC. As a Sr. Systems Architect, you will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to leading the development of system architectures, software architectures, requirements and algorithms. In addition, the Sr. Systems Architect will support and oversee system / software integration and system troubleshooting. Leveraging digital modeling tools, the Sr. Systems Architect will create and shape defense systems for the DoD that are re-usable, refreshable and adaptable to various system domains. This role is based in Orlando, FL, with flexibility for remote work.
Required Skills
- Systems Engineering, Systems Design, and Systems I&T of defense systems
- Experience in system architecture and software architecture leveraging SysML / UML
- 3+ years of experience using Cameo Systems Modeler or Magicdraw
- Strong knowledge of Open System Architectures
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience leading and executing technical development of ground vehicle defense systems with teams of 3+ engineers
Desired Skills
- Scripting experience using groovy, python or similar languages
- Experience in Simulation
- Experience in Agile Execution
- Experience architecting embedded, safety-critical software systems
- Experience in Object Oriented Design
- Experience developing and integrating active protection systems on military vehicles
Required Qualifications
- A minimum total of 10 years’ experience in development of DoD systems including: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in development of U.S. military ground vehicle systems; and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in developing and documenting system architectures using model based system engineering techniques.
- A Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited college or university. A Masters degree in any of the preceding disciplines may be substituted for one year of general experience.
- US Citizenship required
- Active Secret clearance desired / Ability to obtain Secret clearance required
