Brief
The Consulate General of Israel to the Pacific Northwest is seeking a Chief of Staff to the Consul General which will be in charge of the Consul General’s office and administration, managing the Consulate’s key projects, and coordinating between the different departments at the Consulate.
The Consulate General of Israel is the official representative of the State of Israel to the Pacific Northwest Region of the United States: Alaska, Northern California, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- The chief of Staffwill function as the personal assistant to the Consul General.
- Act as the general liaison between the office of the Consul General and government departments, community organizations, and individuals.
- Responsible for managing the Consul General’s schedule internally and with external contacts.
- Coordinate between the different departments in the consulate.
- Assist with key projects and events.
- Prepare background materials for meetings; coordinate the logistical aspects of the Consul General day to day portfolio.
- Manage travel arrangements for domestic and international trips.
Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Must be able to multi-task under time constraints in order to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in working with diplomats and senior leadership.
- Professional writing skills and ability to draft letters, speeches, and official documents in English. (Hebrew- preferred)
- Computer proficiency with an emphasis on Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience as a Chief of Staff / Executive Assistance - an advantage.
- Acquaintance with the Bay area community - an advantage.
Education:
Bachelor's degree
