Job Summary
The Government Contracts Analyst’s substantive focus will be providing practice support for Crowell’s Government Contracts practice as they assist clients with transactional, regulatory, and litigation government contracts matters.
Job Responsibilities
- Organizes and updates documentation for transactional and corporate government contracts matters including purchase agreements, diligence requests, memoranda, employee/revenue count, and ownership information.
- Assists with System for Award Management (SAM) updates such as ownership updates and small business re-certification.
- Monitors and tracks Mergers and Acquisitions transactions, status, and deliverables across multiple regulatory practice groups in addition to Government Contracts (e.g., Aviation, and International Trade).
- Assists attorneys with preparing initial drafts of routine novation, change of name, and Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) change condition documents.
- Support Crowell’s Facility Security Officer (“FSO”) as necessary
- Assists attorneys with all other aspects of government contracts laws and regulation.
- Under the direction of attorneys, interacts regularly with clients, vendors, and government agency employees.
- Monitors developments in related laws and government regulations.
- Analyzes, identifies, monitors, and conducts regular internal records management and administrative document archiving reviews and evaluations.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to provide quality client service to both internal and external contacts regarding matters of a complex nature. Requires patience, creativity, and discretion.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS suite to produce quality written communications such as memos, spreadsheets, slides, and standard work documents.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel to independently produce complex reports.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work in a dynamic and complex environment to meet deadlines and daily requirements.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a productive and committed work effort while meeting deadlines and managing workload.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others in a cooperative, enthusiastic, and friendly manner to accomplish position functions and participate in team efforts.
Education
The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience
It is preferred that the candidate has at least one year of experience with the following (education will be considered in lieu of experience):
- Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and its supplements.

Our Firm is committed to fair and equitable compensation practice in accordance with applicable laws. The pay range for this position is $75,000-$80,000. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus. Other benefits include healthcare, vision, dental, retirement, and all-purpose leave. The salary for this position may vary based on location, market data, an applicant’s skills and prior experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other factors.
