Austin Industries has an outstanding opportunity for a BI Manager at our corporate headquarters in Dallas, Texas. The BI Manager manages the business intelligence team and architecture at Austin Industries. This role requires the knowledge and skills to manage and develop team members while creating and refining the future of data and analytics. The ability to manage the execution of projects aligned to the BI roadmap will be key to success in this role. This position offers a hybrid reporting structure.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Functional Areas of Responsibility
- Team management
- Defining BI/Data architecture
- Collaboration with business partners to capture requirements
- Facilitation of Data Lake / Data Mart design
- Managing BI team backlog
- Overseeing execution of BI/Data projects
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitating design sessions for data architecture
- Defining vision for Machine Learning / AI
- Set approach/plan for ensuring data quality
- Hands-on development of data processes
- Coaching team members
- Setting goals for the team
- Collaborating with PMO to develop plans and timelines for BI projects
- Coordination of the team’s work priorities and assigning tasks as needed
- Facilitate BI Steering Meetings to provide team and project updates
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required
- 10+ years of data warehousing design and implementation experience
- Expertise with MS SQL Server and Synapse
- Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Azure cloud and Data Factory
- Familiarity with Power BI
- Good communication and documentation skills
