The Role:
The Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer – Network & Security provides technical expertise and guidance while securing the “technical close” in complex solutions. They collaborate with sales, service, and technical support resources to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs and are appropriately supported by key customer technical decision-makers.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Partner with the sales team to provide technical knowledge around Network and Cybersecurity Solutions to our customers and prospects.
- Proactively scope the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assess customers’ needs, and recommend optimum solutions, ensuring appropriate support for the proposed architecture.
- Provide technical expertise though sales presentations, product demonstrations, and guide prospects through technical evaluations (POCs) which are critical to the deal’s success.
- Opportunistically pursue additional business development opportunities within customer firms, ensuring these opportunities are effectively covered and followed by the sales team.
- Navigate and build long-term relationships with customers and be seen as their trusted resource.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements, including competitive solutions, products and services.
- Seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and strengthen customer relationships.
- Provide thought leadership to the organization to ensure the technologies and solutions offered continue to meet industry standards for relevance and innovation.
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role.
- Experience with modern network cloud-based technologies, switching, routing and network security.
- Senior level experience in at least one of the following, preferred:
- Routing/WAN
- Data Center Switching
- Wireless Architecture
- Bachelor’s Degree, and working knowledge of IT, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent multitasking, interpersonal, and client facing skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to respond to customers in an efficient and accurate manner.
- Able to work effectively with clients, customer technical implementation teams, management, executive stakeholders, suppliers/vendors, and independently.
- Complex problem solving and project organization skills.
- Ability to effectively speak and present in front of small or large groups.
- Outstanding communication (verbally and written) and presentation skills in English
- Strong analytical, organizational and detail-oriented skills.
- Demonstrates capability to strategically plan ahead to meet deadlines and future company needs.
- Ability to travel to customer locations and event-based opportunities.
