Job Summary: Manage the design and implementation of multiple projects at all stages of development, particularly concerning the bringing to market of new products and services.
Drive the communication and completion of project deliverables and be proactive with resource allocation, recommendations, and advise to management. Assess scope of work, status, schedule, and materials necessary to successfully complete a project on schedule and on budget. Identify, monitor, and communicate project risks, assuring timely escalations of issues critical to the functional leaders. Support and contribute to a solution-minded environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Assist in defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility
· Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress
· Establish and maintain effective cross functional relationships across the agency including procurement, finance, sales, operations and quality; create functional teams utilizing members from across departments
· Serve as the primary point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy; facilitate project update meetings and maintain the project management systems data and dashboards
· Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques and assist with tracking of KPI’s
· Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification and control techniques
· Identify and resolve matters of significance that impact the projects timeline, efficiency, or future success, communicating the project status to stakeholders.
· Report project outcomes and risks to appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan
· Work with procurement and planning to ensure material availability and allocation
· Monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximizing resources
· Analyze project performance, establish lessons learned, and incorporate into future work
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or similar field preferred.
· 3+ years’ experience in project management to include time spent in an ISO registered environment.
· CAPM, PMP, or similar certification preferred
· Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
· Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position
· Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
· Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others
· Experience with collaborative project management software.
