Gastroenterology Locums Job in Arizona 24 Hour Call + Night Call September Start and Ongoing
Jackson + Coker is partnered with a hospital in a beautiful part of northern Arizona searching for a skilled GI to start ASAP.
Schedule needed for Assignment :
Clinic and call
7 days per month ongoing
Five 8-hour days with an average of 2 endoscopy days, 3 half endoscopy days and 3 half office days
Call will be shared each month between three physicians
Call coverage will consist of 7-15 days monthly
Job Requirements:
Board Certification Gastroenterology - required
Arizona license - required or IMLC (LOQ in hand)
Residency requirements/Fellowship required
Other Certifications BLS
Malpractice Clean Preferred
Availability at time of name clear required
Job Details:
Setting: Hospital and Office
Duties: Evaluate and treat patients in ambulatory clinic settings. Perform Endoscopy procedures during scheduled block time and also while on call.
Required Procedures: ERCP and EUS
Office offers esophageal manometry/video capsule endoscopy/Fibroscan - these are performed by clinical staff and interpreted by physicians
EMR: CERNER
Support Staff: Medical receptionist, Surgery scheduler, Medical Assistants, Registered Nurse
Reason for Coverage: locums taking 6 month break/provider they did backfill with cancelled
Deal Breakers: NO ERCP/EUS , unable to offer at least one week (7 days) monthly.
Cases: EUS/ERCP trained
Average Cases/Day: Average of 15 outpatient cases on full Endoscopy days and 8 outpatient cases on half days
Office Patients: 8-10 patients 2-3 days/week
Patient Population: Anything from complex IBD and Liver patients to screening for colorectal cancers. A wide range of patients and cases.
