We will soon be moving to our new state of the art Critical Care Tower and will have three Cath Lab suites, one Electrophysiology suite, one Hybrid suite, two treatment rooms and seventeen Same Day Surgery rooms. We work with a team of nine cardiologist and two electrophysiologist.

Responsibilities:
The Cardiovascular Technologist functions independently as a member of the Norman Regional Cardiovascular patient care team that includes Registered Nurses, Cardiovascular Technologists, and Cardiologist. Members of the Cath Lab team will report to the Cath Lab Manager. Along with their teammates, this individual will be responsible for care of the Cath Lab patient. Duties will include:
- Hemodynamic monitoring, circulating, and pre and post care of the Cath Lab patient.
- Documents and obtains accurate patient information for national registries.
- Performs daily quality controls for a wide range of equipment utilized in the routine care of a patient.
- Develops and integrates safe, competent and efficient standards of care for patients presenting to the lab.
- Uses critical thinking to identify and manage adverse events or unanticipated outcomes.
- Ability to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally
- Knowledge of anatomy
- Knowledgeable in radiation safety
- Advanced ECG and arrhythmia skills required
- Flexibility in work hours
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or
- Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Program
- One year of experience working in an Cath Lab preferred
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or
- Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International - RCIS
- Basic Life Support
- Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire
