Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Deployment Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate with customer sites to plan, schedule, and accomplish site deployments
Conduct site surveys; assess and document current site network configuration and user requirements
Travel to customer sites and perform deployment activities, to include site surveys, installing hardware, device configurations, troubleshooting etc.
Create and implement router and switch configurations
Configure computers, communications devices, and peripheral equipment
Manage and maintain system configuration including documentation, installation, planning, configuration and evaluation of existing and new hardware
Provide support to IT systems which includes day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices etc.
Troubleshoot networking, routing and inter connectivity issues, including network device configuration
Coordinate inventory, hardware orders, equipment movement, and shipment of equipment
Maintain awareness of security directives, orders, standards, plans and procedures
Create and maintain Visio network diagrams
Draft and submit recommended change request proposals
Ensure the architecture and design of the customer's information systems are functional and secure
Provide recommendations to enhance and improve the network and performance
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of related experience; a degree might be substituted by additional 4 years of experience
DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification required
DoD 8570 Computing Environment Certification required within 6 months of hire; MCSA, VCP, or equivalent
Experience with Microsoft Windows 2008/2012/2016/2019 Servers; Microsoft Windows 10; administering Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, and workstation and server hardware; administering Microsoft Office 2010/2016; administering DNS, Group Policy, and PKI; administering vSphere, Horizon View, data backup, and antivirus software; basic networking including DHCP/TCPIP; experience with deploying workstation images; and experience with thin and/or zero clients
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows Systems, HP SANs, VMware products
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Adept communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving management skills
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
Experience using a Service Desk ticketing system, such as ServiceNow
Must be willing to travel within the U.S. up to 50% and requires occasional (as needed) 5-10% OCONUS travel
Valid US Passport
Preferred Qualifications:
Outstanding customer relationship management skills
Ability to operate under minimal supervision.
Experience in the following areas: hardware/software security, router and switch communications protocols, network management, encryption techniques, firewall rule definition and authentication technologies.
Working knowledge of communication security (COMSEC) policies and integration
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows systems, including DNS, Group Policy, and PKI
Good working knowledge of applying security best practices from DISA and/or vendors.
Basic networking
ITIL Foundations certification
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
The projected compensation range for this position is $109,100-$181,100. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
