Engineering Materials Planner and Coordinator
Duration: Contract position until 09/15/2025, with a strong possibility of extension.
Location: New Orleans, LA 70113
Work Schedule: Hybrid arrangement from Monday to Thursday: In-office on Tuesday and Wednesday, remote on Monday and Thursday.
Type: Part-Time (32 hours per week), with hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and a one-hour lunch break.
Job Summary:
The Engineering Support II role is integral to the seamless coordination and acquisition of materials for various engineering projects. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with teams from Design, Standards, Asset Management (AM), Grids, Project Management, Construction, and Supply Chain. This position involves the planning, selection, ordering, scheduling, and receipt of materials essential for Substations, Transmission Lines, and System Protection projects. Responsibilities also include the development and assignment of stock codes, material descriptions, purchase specifications, and assessment of supplier capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular reviews of open order reports and communicate findings effectively.
- Track material requisitions, purchase orders, and their statuses, providing comprehensive summary reports on material disposition.

Education:
