Purpose: To manage the stone department’s day-to-day operations by working with customers, the warehouse, the flatbed division, and Company Drivers.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer customer phone calls and emails daily.
Assist our granite customers with shipping quotes, inventory, and other requests.
Data entry - Accurately input all granite bills for lading into Customer Service by the end of each day.
File bills of lading alphabetically and per region each day.
Create full truckloads for our drivers to haul (with help from our software).
Coordinate crane appointments, dedications, and other deliveries with customers.
Assist warehouse personnel with any issues relative to incoming and outgoing granite freight.
Prepare paperwork for drivers' outbound loads every week. This includes double-checking work for accuracy to keep the warehouse efficient with loading.
Mail invoices to customers.
Manage the paperwork for return pieces that come back from the customers.
Experience & Qualifications:
High school degree or equivalent
No previous experience is required; however, this position requires a desire to learn, and the employee must be a quick study.
Patient and professional for ALL customers and employees to work with. Eagerly take ownership of their responsibilities and treat the business as if it were their own. This person must continually seek ways to improve and learn new processes. Possesses strong attention to detail and is accurate.
Organized, self-disciplined, and resourceful. Must have proficient typing skills and be proficient with computers and multiple screens.
