Vassar Brothers Medical Center, located in Poughkeepsie, NY, just 75 minutes north of New York City, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to work in collaboration with the Breast Surgery Division. This position will coordinate, oversee and provide advanced nursing care to breastpatients and functions as a Clinical Patient Navigator for this population. Will work collaboratively with medical, surgical and radiation oncologist, Clinical Research Division, nursing staff and external stakeholders. The Nurse Practitioner participates in performance improvement and research activities, and maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise. Vassar Brothers Medical Center provides our 4 hospital system and multi-specialty practice with tertiary oncology services and is accredited by The American College of Surgeons as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program. Vassar already has many of the key elements of a comprehensive oncology service line in place, including a Radiation Oncology team and Surgical Oncology Services in Breast, Thoracic, GI, Gyn Onc, and Urology. Our goal is to evolve from a comprehensive local program to a regional destination cancer program. Vassar will be building a new a 696,000-square-foot, eight-level inpatient pavilion with 264 private medical/surgical patient rooms and 30 critical care rooms. Salary Range: $115,000-135,000 annually
